The Southdale YMCA offers Eden Prairie youth after-school programs that are highly flexible and responsive to serving the needs of "high risk" youth. Programs are offered in Eden Prairie. Many Y programs are free or offered to low-income families through a scholarship.

The Leaders Club is designed to help improve leadership skills, provide community service projects, network with peers and provide social events and fun activities for teens in grades 7-12. Clubs now exist at the Central Middle School and at Eden Prairie High School.

Fresh Force collaborates with Eden Prairie Community Education and offers youth in grades 6-8 the opportunity to become involved in making a difference in their community by doing service learning projects. Fresh Force develops leadership skills, team building, and planning experiences.

Youth in Government serves Juniors and Seniors and focuses on an experimental learning experience involving State Legislature, the Judicial System or Media.

In Y's Start, students in grades 7-8 are provided with positive experiences incorporating education, recreation and service learning field trips in this after-school program.
