Kathy Nelson was elected to the Eden Prairie City Council in November 2006. Her four-year term ends Dec. 31, 2010.
Nelson currently represents the City on the Southwest Light Rail Transit Policy Board and the Eden Prairie Foundation Board. She is also a member of the League of Women Voters and the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce where she is active with the Government Committee.
Prior to her election to the City Council, Nelson had been a longtime member of the City’s Planning Commission.
Nelson earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Minnesota. She and her family have lived in Eden Prairie since 1992.
